MUSCAT: Chiru Mega Youth Force (CMYF), a voluntary organisation, was honoured by the Ministry of Health for organising blood donation camps. The ministry presented awards to various organisations on the occasion of World Blood Donors Day recently.
CMYF founder-president Ramdas Chandaka, who received the honour, said: “We are organising blood donation camps at the Central Blood Bank for the past 13 years and are elated at the response we get from volunteers. Every year we have seen a rise in the number of blood donors. This is the 12th time that we are being honoured by the ministry.”
