MUSCAT: The Ministry of Housing yesterday distributed the title deeds for locals affected by the cement plant in the Wilayat of Bausher. The indemnification includes the construction of 97 residential units, a mosque, a majlis (sabla), in addition to roads, lightning and a drainage network. The Oman Cement Company has confirmed that the project has been implemented in accordance to the agreement signed in mid-2013 in which the company agreed to undertake 35 per cent of the gross cost. The company has steadily worked on reducing the pollution in the factory and signed prohibitive cost agreements in order to have a clean environment. Emerging from the significance of social responsibility, the company believes in setting a constructive and positive relationship with the society. The administration of OCC also expresses its appreciation for the cooperation offered by the citizens.
