Muscat: Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani, Minister of Information, received Sultanate’s delegation to the first Arab International Conference for Cultural and Sports Rights for disabled that was held in Tunis. The Sultanate’s delegation included Dr Ayesha al Kayoumiyah, the lecturer and specialist in handicaps, Sultan bin Nasser al Amri who was honoured as the first Arab deaf presenter, Lt Col Said al Badaie, sign language expert at Oman TV and Moosa al Sarhani, a photographer. The Minister of Information congratulated Al Amri for being honoured as the first Arab deaf presenter. Al Amri expressed his happiness for being honoured and said that the recognition underscores the efforts made by the Sultanate under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to support people with disabilities and meet their needs.
