Military Haj Mission heads to Mecca

Muscat: As part of the Royal care accorded by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the personnel of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security units, Military Haj Mission left Muscat on Wednesday for Mecca on Royal Air Force of Oman’s transport planes. The mission was seen off at Al Seeb Air Base by Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman, senior officers of SAF, the Royal Guard of Oman, the Royal Oman Police and Royal Court Affairs. The Military Haj Mission includes serving and retired personnel. The SAF prepares and organises the Military Haj Mission in coordination with the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the Sultanate and the Omani Haj Mission of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs. — ONA
