MUSCAT: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between MEDRC Water Research and KAIA (Korean Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement) at MEDRC’s Al Hail premises on Wednesday.
The agreement recognises common areas of interest between both parties and the potential that exists for mutually beneficial future collaboration. KAIA is a quasi-government organization that manages research programmes for the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport while MEDRC Water Research is an NGO headquartered in Muscat, which works to solve fresh water scarcity in the Middle East. The MoU was signed by MEDRC Water Research Centre Director, Ciarán Ó Cuinn and Dr Byung-Soo Kim, President of KAIA, in the presence of Ambassador Dr Mohammed al Hassan, Acting Under-Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs and Son Byeong-Seok, Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Republic of Korea.
