By Staff Reporter — MUSCAT:  April 15 - The MEDRC Water Research hosted around 100 schoolchildren at its state-of-the-art facility in Al Hail, Muscat, as part of the Youth Water Awareness Programme which concluded last week. The programme, sponsored by Oman LNG as a CSR initiative, offered the young children the opportunity to tour MEDRC’s reverse osmosis plant and training facility, as well as understand the dynamics of how an aquifer functions. “This unique educational experience enables teachers to introduce children to the importance of water conservation in a fun and engaging way,” said MEDRC in a statement. “When combined with in-classroom teaching, interactive sessions such as these allow children to understand and appreciate the importance and relevance of what they are learning.”

Benefiting from the initiative were students of: Abou Ayoub Al Hdrami School for Boys; Mousa bin Nassir School for Boys; Abu Tamam School for Boys; Khriss Al Hobouss School for Boys; El Sheikh Salim bin Hmoud Al Siyabi School for Boys; Hail Al Awamer School for Girls; Barakah bint Thaalabah School for Girls; Nasibah bint Kaeb School for Girls; and Al Mabela Al Janubiyah for Girls.
