MUSCAT: Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) participated in the 3-day Oman Fire, Safety & Security Exhibition, which took place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. MCBS had two booths: one on the convention’s side and the other on the exhibition side.
The exhibition was a platform for MCBS to expand its network by presenting what the college has to offer to the public in terms of fire and safety.
The Bachelor of Science in Health and Safety programme offers both national and international knowledge in the field in a span of 8 semesters, which constitutes to around 4 years.
The programme touches upon the topics of legislation, health and safety management, hazardous agents and toxicology, fire and emergency preparedness, and workplace hazards and controls. The programme also provides students with the Omani law, preventative measures to take to avoid accidents, and the appropriate methods to take when such accidents occur among other topics.
MCBS offers training on various safety issues as well. These programmes include safety in transportation; dangerous goods regulations by air, road and sea; transport of hazardous waste; and basic fire safety.
The College can provide customised courses on supply chain and logistics as well. The exhibition was attended by people of all types which help MCBS to met potential students and opportunities in this manner.
