Low pressure likely to bring rains

MUSCAT: The northern governorates of the Sultanate will be affected by a low pressure system next week, according to the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre, which monitors weather conditions in Oman. Rains of varying amounts accompanied by strong wind and hail are predicted over the Sultanate’s north. The Public Authority for Civil Aviation calls for caution during the rain which could result in overflowing of wadis. Meanwhile, mainly clear skies will prevail over most of the Sultanate with chance of cloud advection over the northern governorates with chance of isolated rains in some governorates.
