Low pressure brings rains

Muscat, Feb 3 - Many parts of the Sultanate received rains on Sunday. Most areas in the northern parts experienced influence of the trough. Musandam Governorate was the first to see thundershowers associated with fresh winds and hail in addition to areas of Sea of Oman coasts, Al Hajar Mountains and the adjoining areas.
Suhar and Shinas experienced strong winds and hail. Heavy rains were reported in Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Al Batinah and some areas of Al Dakhiliyah in the evening. In the next 24 hours, all parts of northern Oman are expected to experience hail and fresh strong winds, said the Met Office.
According to Met Office, the weather pattern will continue for two days, including Monday.
