Ramadhan is an opportunity says Al Humaid al Shuaili, co-founder of One Nation, explaining that it is like a workshop one goes in to review what is important and to find out what are the main goals you want to achieve.

Finding your true goals

“It is very important to always set goals and write the goals down,” Al Shuaili said. One of the main goals to achieve in the month of Ramadhan is to reconnect with the Holy Quran. “This book is very important for us. Once we reconnect with the Quran we reconnect with the Creator. There is a lot that we can read and reflect in the Quran,” he said.

Time Management in Ramadhan

Time is key. “All we have is time. A lot of people say time is money. We say time is life,” pointed out the One Nation Co-founder. No one in life has more than 24 hours a day. “Everyone has these set number of hours so how we use them is very important and this is where the planning part comes.

Normally, we tell people to plan much before Ramadhan because if we fail to plan we are actually planning to fail. So every minute counts. This is what we say in Ramadhan, during the month of Ramadhan, everything we do — the rewards get multiplied. So you need to do more with the less time we have.

“It also gives you an opportunity to review your schedule because we have lot of time thieves like the social media, mobile phone, the gadgets etc. These are the activities that do not give you any value. So Ramdhan gives you the opportunity to look into your time and how you spent it and find out where is the leak in your time. We can review it and try to fill it with the right activities that will add value to you.”
