MUSCAT: The 31st light weapons competition organised by Sultan Armed Forces concluded under the patronage of Shaikh Saud bin Suleiman Al Nabhani. The contest encompassed the participation of Royal Air Force of Oman, Sultan Armed Forces, Royal Oman Police, Royal Army of Oman, Royal Navy of Oman, Royal Guard of Oman and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Defence and Royal Court Affairs. The competition sought to sustain the potentiality of using small arms upon officers and soldiers and identify the qualified shooters for joining military and national shooting teams that represent the Sultanate regionally and internationally. At the end of the competition, the chief guest honoured the Royal Army of Oman with general shield for winning the first place.
