Rustaq, Feb 11 - A workshop titled ‘Use of Research Management Base’ was organised at the Rustaq College of Education (RCE) recently. The Professional Development and Continuing Education Committee had organised the workshop as part of the professional development programme for its employees at Al Hazm Hall at the college. Dr Humood al Shukri, Head of Educational Studies Department and an associate professor in the department, conducted the workshop. It was aimed at introducing new research management base to the academic faculty, who were advised on how to document scientific activity and academic data.
The workshop was attended by faculty members from the departments of General Requirements, Science, Educational Studies, English Language and Literature, Information Technology and International Business Administration. Attendees were asked to save all the data regarding activities, papers, workshops and conference attended in the database. The workshop included a roundtable discussion among professional development and continuing education committee members and the academic faculty members, led by Dr Rahma al Kharousi, an associate professor in the Educational Studies Department. Discussions covered suggestions for improving the programme of professional development at the college.
