Muscat: Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) said on Monday it is prepared to resume full scale domestic and international operations on Wednesday as planned.
Operations from Kochi naval base, which has been temporarily opened for civil aviation, will be suspended, said a statement.
Wasim Zaidi, general manager, Oman, Jet Airways, said the first Jet Airways flight to Kochi will leave at 11.35 am from Muscat to reach at 4.50 pm India time.
Mahesh Chaudhary, country manager, Air India, Oman, said the Air India Express flight to Kochi will leave Muscat at 11.20 am to reach Kochi at 4.31 pm India time.
Oman Air resumes Kochi flight from 2am on Thursday.
“Intimation regarding the readiness of he airport has been given to all airlines to make sure the smooth functioning of the services as per schedule,” said the statement.
Kochi airport was shut down operation after the worst floods in Kerala and CIAL deferred it’s resumption of service once from August 26 to 29 August due to manpower issues.
CIAL said that most airlines have started bookings to Kochi on their websites on or after August 29.
