MUSCAT: The annual top management review meeting was held at Khoula Hospital on Sunday to review the hospital’s quality system.

The meeting, organised by the Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by Quality Management and Patient Safety Department, was chaired by Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, in the presence of Dr Mohammed bin Saif al Hosni, MoH’s Under-Secretary of Health Affairs.

The meeting discussed the hospital’s Quality Management and Patient Safety Department’s accomplishments during 2016, as well as the achievements of all departments. It reviewed the challenges faced to achieve the ‘Smart’ objectives, and informed the hospital’s employees about the departments plans for 2017.

Conducting such meetings in the past years has remarkably contributed in enhancing the services delivered to patients, which are seen in raising the patients’ satisfaction and reducing the appointments period in the specialised clinics and surgeries, as well as decreasing the rate of postponed and cancelled operations. As more as 150 participants from the hospital’s different medical and assistant medical categories, and from the Sultanate’s other hospitals attended the meeting. — ONA
