NIZWA, Jan 28 - The Karate Academy of Oman had organised the third girls’ championship in Kumite and Kata at the Nizwa Club. The championship was for the academic centres from the Sultanate. It saw participation from 80 players from various provinces. The championship was held under the auspices of Amal bint Khalifa al Shukri, Director of Special Education Schools Department in the Directorate of Education in Al Dakhiliyah.
The referees were Faris bin Nasser al Busaidi and Salim bin Suleiman al Masrori, Asian referees; Nasma Wanas, continental referee, and Mattar bin Khalfan al Kindi and Ahmed bin Mohammed al Muadi, local referees.
