MUSCAT: Kalabhavan School of Music & Arts, a franchisee of Kochin Kalabhavan, will be celebrating its Founder’s Day on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Al Maasa Hall at 6.30 pm. Kalabhavan is a leading music and art training institutions in Oman. Kalabhavan teachers and students will entertain the audience with a variety of entertainment programme. Thomas John, General Manager, Aflag Pharmacy, will be the chief guest. The winners of Little Fingers art contest will be honoured during the function. Kalabhavan was founded by Fr Abel Periappuram. He was a Christian missionary whose passion for music and art knew no bound which eventually culminated the establishment of Kalabhavan in the late 1960’s.
Kalabhavan is a unique institution as far as its coaching is concerned. Kalabhavan follows the Trinity College of London’s syllabus for Keyboard, Guitar and Drums and it facilitates students to appear for the examination conducted by Trinity College of London in Oman twice a year.
