Jusoor, Tecnimont Oman sign MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday between Jusoor and Tecnimont Oman — the EPC contractor for Package 2 of the Liwa Plastics Industries Complex Project — to fund the construction of a parking area, lighting poles and landscaping in Liwa Cultural Centre project, being implemented by Jusoor.
The MoU was signed by Shaikh Muhanna bin Saif al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah, who is also Chairman of Jusoor Foundation, and Marko Crivelli, Tecnimont Project Director. Also in attendance were representatives from the Foundation, Orpic and Tecnimont.
Ibrahim Mohammed al Kawi, HR and External Affairs Manager at Tecnimont, said: “Tecnimont Oman is committed to its social responsibilities in its continuous endeavour to contribute effectively to sustainable development initiatives. As part of its social responsibility programmes, the company is keen to support and participate in social work that has a positive impact on the communities in which it operates.”
Tecnimont Oman’s cooperation with the Jusoor Foundation is in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility objectives, which seek to support the local communities in various social, economic and environmental fields.
Under the terms of the (MoU), Tecnimont will fund the construction of 111 parking spaces, installation of 32 lighting poles, and the development of a modern irrigation system for landscaping at a total cost of RO 100,000. The work will commence in February 2019 and will be completed in April 2019. It will be in Liwa Cultural Centre project, which is being implemented by Jusoor Foundation in the Wilayat of Liwa.
