ITPA discusses World Cup preparation

MUSCAT, Jan 27 – The board members of International Tent Pegging Association (ITPA) held a meeting in Muscat presided over by Mohammed Essa al Fairuz, Chairman of ITPA, in presence of board members. During the meeting, Al Fairuz said tent pegging sport will see big changes in the upcoming period.
Al Fairuz had a special meeting with Bekeem Young, chairman of International Association of Arch of Horseback. Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to boost corporation between both associations and promote the sports within members of the association.
“We discussed the initial preparation for World Cup Tent Pegging in 2021 and other major tournaments to be organised in the coming period including Junior championship U-16 and U-21 and universities and military tournaments,” Haitham al Lawati, General Secretary of ITPA, said.
“We had set up the technical and executive committees. Also, board members approved some slight changes in the policy. The members discussed launching of African and European Tent Pegging Associations as well,” Haitham added.
