MUSCAT: The first annual inter school cultural and sports festival of Indian School Wadi Kabir International (ISWKI) ‘Jamboree’ was held on February 15, 16. Participants teamed in from 10 Indian and International schools from across the city, represented by around 700 students.

These creative and talented learners participated in various scholastic and non-scholastic events (literary, visual arts, performing arts and sports).

Harshendu Shah, President of ISWKi Management Committee, proposed the welcome address. He welcomed the guests, the judges and students from participating schools who had assembled to celebrate the skills and talent of our young ones.

“Our school also participated enthusiastically in all the events and won laurels. The competition was an apt opportunity for participants from different schools to interact with fellow students and expand their social web. It provided them an exposure of a greater level in developing their proficiency in various scholastic and co-scholastic activities. An esteemed panel of judges included experts from the respective fields, who judged the participants on the basis of originality, aesthetics, creativity and overall presentation in various events,” he said.

Wilson George, Chairman Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, was the chief guest at the valedictory function. He gave away prizes to the winners and spoke about his views on futuristic vision and conveyed the necessity of defining one’s goal in life.
