ISM hosts science expo for students today

Muscat, jaN 23 - The Indian School Muscat is hosting STAI 2018-19 (Science, Technology and Innovation) on Thursday. A total of 650 students from 16 Indian Schools in the Sultanate will be taking part in STAI. “We, the entire ISM fraternity along with Principal Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, and ISM School Management Committee are delighted to embark on this unique enterprise,” a statement said.
Dr Baby Sam Saamuel, Chairman Board of Directors of Indian Schools will preside over the function. Dr Suad bint Mubarak al Fori, Director of Technical Office for Studies and Development, will be Chief Guest. The event will conclude with the valedictory ceremony at where Munu Mahawar, Ambassador of India to Oman will be the Chief Guest.
This mega event consists of three categories: Ignitors - Classes VI to VIII, Innovators - Classes IX & X and Inventors - Classes XI & XII. The three categories are further divided into 25 events for students and one event for teachers. To arouse scientific curiosity in young students, Concept Rooms, Games Rooms, Satbhav, the in-house portable Planetarium will be installed in the school premises during the STAI. Best performing five students will be felicitated.
