ISFU reviews progress in projects, initiatives

MUSCAT: The Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit (ISFU), during its first meeting in the Competencies Development Institute (CDI), reviewed with senior executives and academics the latest projects and initiatives in various sectors to promote economic diversification and business environment laws.


Dr Khamis bin Saif al Jabri, Chairman of ISFU, gave an introductory presentation on the unit and its role since the start of the economic diversification laboratories, the projects and initiatives it supports and follows up its implementation, the cooperation between the unit and the other sectors that are implementing the initiatives and projects of the National Programme to Enhance Economic Diversification through the meetings of the steering committees established between the unit and the other sectors and the mechanisms of follow-up projects.


The expert review session comes within the framework of the unit’s vision of the community’s overall participation on the use of a group of experts from business owners and academics, and its keenness to communicate with those involved in the implementation of the initiatives and projects it is pursuing and supporting, whether through the unit’s implementation team or through the control board of the weekly performance indicators that are sent to the ministers, under-secretaries and directors directly involved in the implementation process.


During the meeting, the under-secretaries reviewed the work plan of their ministries through a detailed explanation of the progress achieved in implementing the initiatives and projects, reviewing the performance indicators and the central measurement panel within the ministries’ plans to implement the outputs of the laboratories.
