MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) held its fourth meeting for 2017 under the chairmanship of Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, and Chairman of the board. The meeting approved the agenda items for the fourth meeting, which included two main themes namely the achievements of the training activity during the current year and the training plan for 2018. The meeting reviewed the list of beneficiaries of 19 governmental (civil and military) entities of the programmes of the Institute, to which 93 programmes were implemented, joined by 2,154 participants from the middle level in the civil authorities and the occupants of specialised positions in the military, in cooperation with the National Defence College.

The meeting also reviewed the new training projects of the Institute, the programme of government leaders (Qada) and the programme of preparing the government leaders (leaders of the future), which is the first work of the Center for the preparation of leaders developed in the new organisational structure of the Institute of Public Administration in translation of the terms of reference established by Royal Decree No 28/2016.
