By Business Reporter — MUSCAT: MAY 20 - Takatuf, the human capital provider, and the International Coach Federation (ICF) Chapter in Oman, under the auspices of Takatuf, have drawn to a close a full week of community and professional events celebrating the regional and global impact of professional coaching. Over five days, coach members of the ICF Chapter in Oman and Takatuf engaged with Omani business professionals, graduate trainees and women entrepreneurs through daily events centred on highlighting the ways organisations are shifting away from command and control cultures to leverage a greater collaborative, creative and productive workplace.

On Wednesday, Takatuf’s offices in Al Qurum hosted Omani business leaders from the Sultanate’s largest public and private organisations, as well as executives from Coca-Cola Russia and Ericsson Research Centre in Hungary, in an event centred on sharing the experience of professional coaching in national and global organisations. Discussions  with leaders from the logistics, energy, consumer goods and telecommunications sectors concluded with exploration into the role coaching plays beyond the corporate world, underscoring life coaching and its contribution to overall wellness and health.

‘We are delighted with the amount of awareness International Coaching Week has brought to coaching in Oman and we are energised by the positive contributions coaching has made so far to Oman’s growing sectors’, said Gerda Van Loon, International Coach Federation — Oman Chapter President. ‘The experiences of our guest organisations at today’s event mark the arrival of innovative approaches to personal, professional and leadership development’, added Gerda.
