MUSCAT: The third edition of Windorex + Glass & Aluminium Oman — the Sultanate’s definitive trade expo showcasing the latest trends in the building exteriors industry — will be held at the iconic Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hayy Al Irfan during May 7-9, 2018.

The formal opening will be held at 10 am on May 7 under the auspices of Dr Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board. Joining the Chief Guest at the inauguration in Hall No 4 of the Convention Centre will be a number of government and private sector dignitaries, as well as key representatives from Oman’s thriving building exteriors industry.

Taking part in this year’s edition are exhibitors representing more than 300 leading brands of doors, windows, glass and aluminium frontages, facades and fenestrations, and sun protection systems sourced from over 20 countries around the world. Complimenting this unmatched collection is a wide array of fittings and hardware, shades, pergolas, skylights, gates, access control systems, railings, lanterns and ironmongery, among other merchandise.

Underscoring the growing appeal of the Windorex + Glass & Aluminium Oman, this year’s edition will also feature for the first time international pavilions from India, China, Iran and Italy. Also vying for attention amid the unprecedented display will be a number of well-established local brands eager to showcase Oman’s growing indigenous manufacturing capabilities in the building exteriors space.

Windorex + Glass & Aluminium Oman 2018 has been organised by well-known Omani events management specialist Global Exhibitions & Conferences LLC (GEC), which are also behind a number of high-profile annual trade shows.

The Ministry of Housing has extended its keen support for the event in recognition of its promising potential to contribute to economic development and employment creation.
