Ibri CAS students get skills training

By Taymora al Ghawi — MUSCAT: Dec 3: A training programme was organised by Oman Sail to improve the leadership skills of a group of female students from Ibri College of Applied Sciences. Called Khzan, the programme was conducted in cooperation with BP company. Students participated in many self-development and skills improvement activities. “The programme was aimed at improving skills such as team work, time management and right planning, besides boosting their confidence,” Waheeda al Zidjali, supervisor of personal and institutional programmes at Oman Sail, said. “We plan to make the youth change the world and become leaders in Oman in any sector.”


Hamad al Subhi, Personal and Institutional Programmes, said: “The programme involves many activities and tasks that enable students to interact and learn.” Balqis al Sulimi, a student, said: “I am happy that I participated in the programme. It helped me learn the best steps for solving a problem or dealing with a team member.” Oman Sail and BP also offer other programmes designed for youth in colleges around Oman. They help improve their skills and abilities and make them ready for team work.
