Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the Supreme Commander, has conferred excellent service medals on a number of senior Royal Oman Police (ROP) officers.
The medals were conferred by Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs in a special celebration which was held at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences today on the occasion of ROP Day celebrated on January 5th every year.
Lt Gen Al Shraiqi congratulated officers and said the medals signify His Majesty the Sultan's appreciation for the continuous efforts made by ROP personnel to serve this dear country under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the Supreme Commander.
Lt Gen Al Shraiqi pinned Efficiency Medal on a number of senior ROP officers and honoured some other long-serving officers. --ONA
