HM receives Eid greetings from senior officials

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has received greetings from Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal bin Nasser al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura, Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, and Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsen al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, on the blessed Eid al Adha.
The Chairman of the State Council said: “It is a great honour to me and on behalf of the members and employees of the State Council to express our sincere greetings to Your Majesty on the happy occasion of Eid Al Adha, praying to Allah the Almighty for good health, wellbeing and happiness and for the Omani people and Islamic Nations welfare and blessings.
Your Majesty, Haj is a great worship and ritual that has many noble meanings as pilgrims gather in the sacred lands and Arafat under the banner of immortal Islam. The scene reflects Muslims’ unity, integration, brotherhood and common noble aims. The lessons learnt from Haj, such as the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) act as guidance for us towards the right path to serve humanity in general. We appeal to Allah the Almighty to bestow blessings on Your Majesty and protect Your Majesty to be the leader of Oman and its loyal people”.
The Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura said: “On behalf of all members of Majlis Ash’Shura, its employees and myself, it gives me pleasure to extend to Your Majesty the sincerest greetings, thanks and gratitude on the occasion of the blessed Eid al Adha 1438 AH, appealing to Allah to accept your good deeds, prayers, protect Your Majesty and grant you a good health, wellbeing and a long life. Your Majesty, we also pray to the Almighty Allah to ensure smooth Haj for pilgrims, grant them tranquillity and quietness, help them to carry out Hajj rituals smoothly and to ensure their safe return to their countries.
Your Majesty, the citizens of Oman transcend their human values and morals as they share the joy of Eid while looking forward to the future and preserving the Omani values of tolerance and tradition.
Your Majesty, we pledge to work harder and follow Your Majesty’s approach through active and effective partnership with the wise Government to serve the interests of the nation and citizens and ensure bright present and future for Oman under Your Majesty’s wise leadership.
We appeal to Allah the Almighty to grant Your Majesty success, bestow blessings on Your Majesty, your loyal people and the Arab and Islamic Nations welfare, happiness, stability and peace.
In his cable, Sayyid Badr said: “Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of the blessed Eid al Adha, I am honoured to extend my greetings and that of Your Majesty’s valiant Armed Forces, the triumphant Firaq Forces and all employees of the Ministry of Defence.
Your Majesty, during the blessed Eid Al Fitr days few months ago, Oman has showcased a wonderful picture for renewed national unity and loyalty.
Today, while we are looking forward for happy Eid al Adha, which manifests faith, sacrifice, we appeal to Allah to grant Oman security, stability and welfare under Your Majesty’s wise leadership.
The valiant armed forces and all employees of the Ministry of Defence inspire the noblest wishes of patience and loyalty to Your Majesty.
We pledge to the Almighty Allah at the Eid of sacrifice to remain loyal and obedient to Your Majesty.
In his cable, Lt Gen Al Shraiqi said: “Your Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander, it is my honour and that of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) personnel, to extend sincere greetings on the advent of the blessed Eid Al Adha, praying to Allah the Almighty to grant welfare and blessings for Your Majesty, Oman and its loyal people.
Your Majesty the Sultan, Allah has bestowed on this blessed country many bounties.
Your Majesty, while celebrating this blessed occasion with joy, the ROP personnel remember the divine aims of Haj and utilise them in their daily lives and duties to serve their nation.
In doing this, they are guided by Your Majesty’s wise guidance and approach. May Allah the Almighty protect Your Majesty, grant you a long life and perpetuate blessings of wellbeing and happiness on Your Majesty”.
