Haitham gets invite for Saudi culture & arts fest

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, received an invitation from Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulziz al Saud, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), to take part in Okaz Market, a culture, arts and craft festival, which will be organised in Taif city from May 27 to June 13. The invitation was received by Shaikh Hamad bin Hilal al Maamari, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for Cultural Affairs when he received in his office on Tuesday Eid bin Mohammed al Thaqafi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to the Sultanate.
The two sides discussed the importance of enhancing the existing cultural cooperation between the two brotherly countries through organising more joint activities and cultural programmes namely book fairs and exchanging authors and writers’ books on various cultural fields in both countries, as well as discussing the Sultanate’s participation in the national heritage and culture festival ‘Janadriyah’ in Saudi Arabia. — ONA
