Graduation ceremony for skills development programme held

MUSCAT: The Competency Development Institute at the Diwan of Royal Court held a graduation ceremony for the participants in the administrative skills development programme for heads of department.


Dr Ali bin Qasim bin Jawad al Lawati, Advisor for Studies and Research at the Diwan of Royal Court, sponsored the closing ceremony of the programme at Wahat Club in Al Athaibah. This programme is a comprehensive one that targets heads of department and their equivalents of office managers and assistant managers at the Diwan of the Royal Court.


The participants received a five-level Leadership and Management Diploma awarded by ‘’Injaz’’ in partnership with the British Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), in the event of passing the evaluation tasks for each unit.


Dr Khamis bin Saud al Toobi, Director-General of Administrative Development and Acting Director General of the Competency Development Institute in his speech said the implementation of the programme to develop administrative skills of departments heads and their equivalents of office managers and assistant managers at the Diwan of the Royal Court comes


within the framework of required competencies and identifying their training needs .


This should be in line with the actual requirements of the heads of department at the Diwan, where the theoretical and practical skills are integrated in a manner that achieves professional performance for heads of department within the best international practices in the field.


The number of participants in the programme reached 126 people with 102 in Muscat and 24 in Salalah.


At the end of the programme, the sponsors honoured and distributed certificates to graduates of the programme.
