GamePad Digital has officially launched its successor to GPD Win, a Windows-based handheld game console which it released last year. Its latest gaming console, GPD Win 2, now boasts of a better and bigger display, allowing the device to fit in your back pocket. The China-based start-up GPD claims the Win 2 as the “most powerful handheld ever.” The upgraded handheld game console sports a 6-inch display, with a screen resolution of 1280x720 in a Corning Gorilla Glass material. The GPD Win 2 also features an m3-7Y30 processor, allowing video games to look much smoother on the handheld device.
The device is equipped with a 4900mAh battery offering 6 hours’ worth of game time. When the battery dies, GPD says the handheld game console supports PD 2.0, which allows the battery to be fully charged in less than an hour. The GPD Win 2 handheld game console supports thousands of online video games such as multiplayer online battle game Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, first-person shooter Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto V, Total War: Warhammer II, and more. For PS4 games, users can stream The Sims 4, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, World of Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest Heroes II. However, users will need to download and install Remote Play PC to play the official PS4 game on their GPD Win 2 console.
