GCC leaders’ website launched

MUSCAT: On the occasion of 37th GCC Summit, which is being held in Bahrain, the GCC leaders website was launched as an initiative from His Majesty the Sultan website. The GCC leaders initiative was launched under the patronage of Ahmed bin Nasser al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism with attendance of Hamoud bin Mohammed al Azri, General Supervisor of HM’s website. Al Mehrzi lauded the development of the website, which features an open interface that introduces the visitors to the remarkable achievement this country has made and the character of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. Al Azri said, “On behalf of the Omani people, we are very happy to launch the GCC leaders initiative on the occasion of the 37th GCC Summit.


As a token of admiration to the leaders, a youngster from the Sultanate has come out with a unique website dedicated to the leaders.


The comprehensive website sheds light on the leadership qualities and their personal traits that made the leaders excel in their statesmanship.


“This website attempts to highlight the importance of the GCC’s blessed march and outcomes of the fraternal meetings binding the GCC leaders in achieving further aspirations of their peoples.


The website also brings all the GCC leaders in one section showing each leader’s personal website so that all visitors will be able to read more about the leaders,” Al Azri added. The website highlighted the great personality of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, his achievements during the past four decades and his supportive role of other nations at both regional and global levels, as well as excerpts from some of his major speeches.


The website has now been translated into 30 international languages namely Arabic, English, French, Hindi, Portuguese, Korean, Persian, Swahili, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Malay, Spanish, Bangla, Urdu, Indonesia, Thai, Malayalam, Estonian, Vietnamese, Romanian, Greek, Danish with the support of different embassies in the Sultanate. — ONA
