MUSCAT: A new case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in the Sultanate has been confirmed by the Ministry of Health. The patient, in his twenties, has been diagnosed with the disease. He is in a stable condition and is under care at a referral hospital. The ministry said all the referral hospitals are ready to deal with such cases through an effective epidemiological surveillance system. Besides, the ministry, in collaboration with the authorities concerned, has been taking necessary health precautions.
