MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Monday received Linas Antanas Linkevicius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, who is currently visiting the Sultanate. The guest conveyed the greetings of the leadership in Lithuania along with best wishes of continuous success to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and the government. HH Sayyid Fahd reviewed the growing relations between the two friendly countries and means of promoting them in several fields, in addition to reviewing various regional and international issues.
Linas Antanas Linkevicius stressed the importance of his visit due to its positiveness at the level of sharing views on matters of common concern between the two friendly countries. He affirmed his country’s appreciation to the balanced policy being pursued by the Sultanate at the regional and international levels. He also underlined the keenness to continue consultation that serves the joint interests. The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, and Asta Skaisgiryte, Lithuanian Ambassador to the Sultanate. — ONA
