Focus shifts to accomodating graduates in new jobs

The Ministry of Manpower has said that over the next three months, from Sunday, it will focus on providing jobs to university diploma holders and graduates in the second stage of the Council of Ministers' decision to provide jobs to 25,000 Omanis, reported Oman, the sister publication of the Observer.


The ministry said it is making efforts to provide job opportunities in all governorates of the Sultanate in the private sector over a period of six months till May as per the decision.  There will be training and programmes conducted for the college and university graduates to meet the job market requirements.


The ministry said 13,500 job seekers (54 per cent) have been accommodated in the 25,000 jobs that were promised to Omanis in the private sector companies and institutions in all governorates of the Sultanate.


The Public Authority for Manpower Register has published a new list of job 218 opportunities in various disciplines while a series of interviews and tests are underway in a number of private sector enterprises, including in Oman LNG, Galfar and the Oasis Water Company.
