Fahd in Saudi to attend summits

RIYADH: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Saturday afternoon to participate, on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, in the 17th GCC Leaders Consultative Summit which seeks to enhance joint GCC work and also to attend the Third GCC-United States Summit, and the Arab-Islamic-US Summit which will be held on Sunday at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Centre in response to an invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia.


HH Sayyid Fahd was welcomed upon arrival at King Salman Air Base by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Governor of Riyadh; Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid al Zayani, GCC Secretary-General, Eid bin Mohammed al Thaqafi, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate and head of the mission of honour accompanying HH Sayyid Fahd, and a number of Saudi officials and members of the Sultanate’s embassy in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the White House announced $380 billion deals with Saudi on Saturday as President Donald trump took his first steps on the world stage.
