Expect light rain in Musandam

Rain is likely over Musandam and the coast of Oman Sea in the next 72 hours, the Met Office has said.


Light to moderate rain can be expected between November 16 and 17, said the weather forecaster.


On November 16, clear to partly cloudy skies are likely over Musandam and North Al Batinah governorates with chances of isolated rain.


Clear skies are expected over rest of the Sultanate with chances of late night to early morning low-level clouds in Arabian sea coastal area.


Winds will be northerly to northeasterly light to moderate along the coastal areas of Oman Sea.


Dust storms are expected in the desert and open areas of northern governorates.


Expect late-night to early morning low-level clouds over South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta governorates.


Sea conditions are expected to be moderate along the coastal area of Oman Sea and Musandam Governorate with a maximum wave height of two metres and slight to moderate along rest of the coast with a maximum wave height of 1.5 metres. A maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius was experienced in Ibri, Fahud, Mudhaibi, Ibra, Marmul and Mahout. Jabal Shams recorded the lowest temperature (6 degrees Celsius).
