Decision-making is always difficult regardless of how important the matter is. Sometimes we make a decision that we might regret later. I trust most of us have experienced this. It’s frustrating to know you have made a wrong choice. It is most irritating when it comes to making up your mind on money matters or job selection.
Don’t you worry. It is just a normal feeling we all have, especially when not sure of the decision to make. Likewise, we regret a choice we have taken. It is a learning experience.
Whenever you don’t give yourself enough time to make up your mind, you definitely get such feelings or blame yourself. Those unpleasant thoughts and emotions remain etched in our mind.
However, it helps to recall things we have done or review a decision taken some time ago in a hurry. A little thinking and brainstorming will make you discover your slip-ups or mistakes from which you will learn.
Although hard and intolerable, with mistakes come the learning. We learn things from our mistakes, so we can take the right decision the next time.
Therefore, never blame yourself for making a mistake or taking an undesirable decision for it could be the right one. You will realise that someday.
Believe me, after each experience you come across in your life, there is a lesson behind it which you might not discover on the spot. Yet, it happens for your own good. You get the message sooner or later unless you regard it as a curse or a failure. Just as some people do when they face a problem or get into trouble.
The way you perceive things that happen to you really counts to make the right decision taken on time. There is nothing called a dead-end or an unsolved problem. Think positively and believe in the possibility of getting things fixed the way you like. Problems are only opportunities with thorns on them. Opportunities do not come with their values stamped upon them.
Believe it or not, with every challenge we go through in our lives, there is a lesson or a blessing behind it. There are challenges from Allah to test our patience and belief in Him. He is always there with us as life is getting harder and complicated. Trust that Allah is blessing people for their own good on certain times.
Always remember life is an experience and every day is an opportunity to make a new happy ending. Live the moment and have some hope.
As Helen Keller, American lecturer and creative author, said: “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
Every test in our life makes us bitter or better, every problem comes to break or make us. The choice is ours whether we become victim or victor. Sometime, you just need to be more positive and roll the dice to make things come the way you wish for.
In some circumstances, fate is the only justification we attribute to what happens to us. True, it is fate that we always relate things to, but it depends on the way we look at things. Our beliefs and confidence are behind our attitude, perception of life and ultimately the decisions we make.
