MUSCAT: A delegation of the Association of European Journalists for the Arab World on Thursday toured several wilayats.
In Nizwa, the delegation visited Nizwa Souq and Falaj Daris. In the Wilayat of Sohar they visited Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Sohar Port and Sohar Free Zone during which they were briefed on the economic importance of the wilayat and its strategic location.
In Muscat the delegation visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the National Museum, the Royal Opera House Muscat and Muttrah Souq.
The delegation hailed the great development being witnessed by the Sultanate under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and the positive role being played by the Sultanate in many regional and international issues.
They also appreciated the Omani experience in maintaining balance between modernity and authenticity, as well as the Omani approach, which promotes the culture of peace and tolerance.
