Eid al Adha holidays from August 11 to 15

MUSCAT: Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Chairman of the Civil Service Council, has issued a


decision on the blessed Eid al Adha 1440 AH holiday.


The text of the decision reads as follows: “On the occasion of the blessed Eid al Adha 1440 AH, and as per the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Eid holiday for employees in the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state administrative apparatus will be from Sunday, Dhul Hijjah 9, 1440 AH, corresponding to August 11 till Thursday, Dhul Hijjah 13, 1440 AH corresponding to August 15. Work will resume on Sunday, Dhul Hajjah 16, 1440 AH, corresponding to August 18.”


The minister extended his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan on this blessed occasion, praying to the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come and the Omani people and our dear country further progress and welfare


under His Majesty’s wise leadership and all Muslims prosperity and blessings.


Meanwhile, Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower, has issued a ministerial decision stating that Eid al Adha holiday for private sector companies and establishments will be from Sunday (August 11) till Thursday (August 15).


The decision allows employers and employees to agree on work arrangements to compensate for this holiday if the necessity arises.


All employees in the private sector extended their greetings to His Majesty the Sultan on this happy occasion, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness, long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty, the Omani people, and all Muslims with welfare and blessings. — ONA
