Egyptian President visits Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum

MUSCAT: President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of Egypt and his delegation paid a visit to the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) Museum in Bait Al Falaj Castle on Monday. President El Sisi was received upon his arrival to the museum by Lt Gen Ahmed bin Harith al Nabhani, SAF Chief of Staff, as a group of honour guards performed the military salute. Lt Gen Al Nabhani and the Head of the SAF Military Protocols and Public Relations escorted President el Sisi and his accompanying delegating in a tour to various sections of the museum, during which they viewed the historic manuscripts and models, as well as the Omani architecture that depict the Omani civilisation through the military history.


They were also briefed on the progress enjoyed by SAF during the prosperous reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. At the end of the visit, the Egyptian President signed the VIP visitors’ book, expressing his delight to visit the SAF Museum and view the beauty of the historic architecture, rich civilisational heritage in the Sultanate and aspects of progress and prosperity it enjoys. He hailed the strong fraternal relations binding the two brotherly countries and peoples, stressing the two countries’ keenness at consolidating permanent stability and peace in the Arab region, as well as maintaining security and achieving prosperity for all Arab nations. — ONA
