MUSCAT: The Ministry of Sports Affairs (MoSA) has issued a clarification on Friday on the presence of dusty audience chairs on the stands of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
In its statement, the ministry said it attaches great importance to the maintenance and cleanliness of all sports facilities and ensures its readiness for any sports event held on the Sultanate’s soil, which has been often praised by the international federations
It said all facilities at the Sultan Qaboos complex are cleaned daily, including the stands, especially, before hosting any games, whether local or international.
The statement added that a large commercial project is currently under way near the complex and the dust seen on the chairs is from that construction work. The ministry said it had taken up the matter with the company involved with the construction of that project.
