MUSCAT, Sept 2 - The Sultanate’s ‘One Million Date Palm Trees Project’ has gone hi-tech. Drone technology and artificial intelligence (AI) will be used for the project, for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be inked on Monday. Oman Technology Fund (OTF) will sign an MoU with the Diwan of Royal Court at the State General Reserve Fund under the auspices of Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, on Monday. The agreement states that two companies in which OTF has invested will provide the project with aerial photography and data analysis services. These companies — Haitch and Modern Innovation Land — are specialised in the integration of drone technology with AI.
