His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has received cables of greetings from Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura and Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs on the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day.
In his cable, Dr Mantheri said: “On the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day, on behalf of myself and honourable members and employees of the State Council, it gives me a great honour to extend sincere congratulations to Your Majesty coupled with our heartfelt prayers for the return of this glorious and similar occasions on your Majesty while Your Majesty enjoys good health, happiness and long life and to grant the Omani people under Your Majesty’s prosperous reign continuous progress and welfare.
“On this dear occasion, the loyalty, love, esteem and gratitude feelings towards Your Majesty are renewed and outflowing. Oman has become, under Your Majesty’s blessed era, a full-fledged modern state and a leader in promoting peace, understanding and dialogue among nations.
“Oman has the right to feel happy while celebrating this dear occasion as it goes with firm steps from a happy present and glorious past towards a promising future. Omanis have the right to be proud of the achievements, comprehensive Renaissance and integrated development made under Your Majesty’s care. The efforts have paid well and now

“Over the past 47 years of the blessed Renaissance, Your Majesty has laid the firm pillars of the rule of law and state of institutions. Your Majesty’s continuing support to the shura process is now looking forward towards wider horizons.
“We pledge before Your Majesty to exert more efforts to develop the performance of this march and achieve the noble objectives towards progress and prosperity for this dear nation, as outlined by Your Majesty. “We pray to Allah the Almighty to bestow on Your Majesty support and care to remain a source of pride for Omanis for many years to come.”
In his cable, the chairman of Majlis Ash’shura said: “On the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day, and as the whole country celebrates this dear occasion with great feelings and happiness, it gives me a great honour, to extend on behalf of Majlis Ash’shura, myself, members and staff to Your Majesty the warmest congratulations and blessings accompanied by the noble feelings of appreciation, gratitude and loyalty to Your Majesty.
“On this occasion, we appeal to Allah the Almighty to protect and grant Your Majesty good health, wellness and long life.
“The achievements made over the years of the blessed Renaissance is a source of pride and esteem and an incentive to continuously add to them. The achievements made, which have covered all urban, rural and remote areas, have been recognised by everyone.
“Oman, thanks to Your Majesty’s wise leadership, has become a model for building nations and promoting man.
“The Omani shura march that you laid its first foundations, is progressing as Your Majesty wished, with advanced and confident steps. Majlis Ash’shura, thanks Your Majesty’s wise guidance, now plays a role in serving the needs of this nation, protecting the achievements made and caring for the interests of the Omanis.
Majlis Ash’shura joins hand with the wise government to ensure the interests of the nation and the citizens.
“Your Majesty‘s foreign policy, based on principles of tolerance, fraternity, mutual respect among peoples, is a role model for any country that seek to achieve security and stability. Your Majesty’s wise policies have resulted into establishing political, economic and social cooperation with many sisterly and friendly countries.
This has a big role in achieving many aspects of development and enhancing investment opportunities.
This will also have a role in developing the construction march and ensure welfare for the sons of this dear nation.
“As we celebrate the glorious 47th National Day, we renew pledge to Your Majesty to work hard and with dedication and loyalty to achieve the interests of our dear nation and care for its citizens. We are following Your Majesty’s footsteps and directives without any deviation.
“We appeal to Allah to grace Your Majesty with blessings, good health, happiness and long life and ensure many happy returns of this and similar occasions on Your Majesty.”
Sayyid Badr in his cable said: “Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Sultanate celebrates the Glorious November 18 , which is a national occasion that makes us remember with pride ancient past, preserve the bright present and look forward to more brighter and prosperous future.
“I am honoured to extend my congratulations and those of the brave armed forces and all employees of the Ministry of Defence to Your Majesty on this dear occasion which symbolises loyalty and gratitude between the leader and his subjects.
“The occasion symbolises also the hard work to achieve comprehensive development and dignity.
“The dear homeland celebrates its 47th Glorious National Day while it has achieved development and progress in all walks of life. The Omani man has been the first aim of this development process which made promoting the nation its noble objective.
“Oman, under Your Majesty’s wise leadership throughout the past 47 years, has become an oasis where security and welfare is enjoyed.

“Your Majesty’s loyal forces provide an umbrella for the development process taking place in every corner in the Sultanate.

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos also received a cable of greetings from Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, on the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day.
The Inspector General of Police and Customs said in his cable: “Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander, it gives me and that of the personnel of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) the honour to extend sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day, praying to Allah the Almighty for the return of this and similar occasions on your Majesty with good health and happiness, Oman and its people with continuous progress and prosperity.
