Salalah: Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, performed Eid al Adha prayers at Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Salalah on Tuesday. Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidy was accompanied by ministers, members of the State Council, members of Majlis Ash’shura, shaikhs and dignitaries of the Governorate of Dhofar and a group of citizens and residents.
Mohammed bin Said Ba Makhalif, Imam, Preacher at the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science led the prayer. He started his Khutba (sermon) with Takbir (exclaiming Allah is Great) praising and thanking Allah the Almighty for all His blessings and “blessings and peace be upon his Prophet”.
In his sermon, he addressed many meanings and lessons learned in this great day.
The sermon focused on virtues of good deeds and thankfulness in increasing the blessings and the avoidance of curses.
He also highlighted the importance of following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) to gain the satisfaction of the Almighty Allah on the Day of Judgement.
He appealed to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and bestow on him blessings, wisdom and success. — ONA
