By Sports Reporter — MUSCAT: Dhofar, Al Suwaiq, Saham and Oman Club advanced to the semifinals of the His Majesty’s Cup football championship late on Monday. In the second legs of quarterfinals, minnows Jalan surprised defending champions Saham with a 1-0 goal win at the Sur Sports Complex. But Saham, thanks to their 2-0 win in the first leg, go through with a 2-1 aggregate win. At Sohar Sports Complex, Dhofar made it to the last four after a 1-1 draw with Al Khabourah. Dhofar won 4-2 aggregate with a 3-1 win in the first leg. At Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Oman Club continued their dream form to book the semifinal berth with another 2-0 win against Bausher in the derby quarterfinal. Oman won 5-0 on aggregate after a 3-0 win in the first leg. In a late match at the Sohar Sports Complex, Al Suwaiq edged a fighting Al Salam 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-2 draw in the second leg. Al Suwaiq won the first leg 1-0.
