MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport and Communications on Monday opened the second phase of the Dhank-Al Khabib road for traffic. Linking the Wilayat of Dhank’s centre to Al Khabib in the Wilayat of Yanqul, the 7.5-km road shortens the distance between the wilayats of Yanqul and Al Buraimi by 35 km.
The opening of this section of the road marks the completion of the first phase of the project with a total of 20 km. The road will contribute to activating the economic, social and touristic activities in this part of the Sultanate.
