Muscat: Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Department of Blood Banks Services said in a statement that dengue patients be not allowed to give blood for six months.
"Further, as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the infection, residents of the dengue-affected areas will be not allowed to give blood for 28 days."
