Death toll rises to five

MUSCAT, May 27 - With the recovery of an expatriate’s body from a wadi on Sunday afternoon, the death toll during and after the Cyclone Mekunu rose to five, while the search is on for missing people. The body of an Indian who was working for a trading company was found on Sunday, after the confirmation of finding the remains of two Omani brothers in a car washed away in a wadi. Indian Embassy team in Salalah has confirmed that as per the information being provided by the Royal Oman Police, mortal remains of one (Shamsher Ali) of two missing Indians was found, and the search is on for the other (Madhu). There are no casualties among other expatriates.
