Danube emerge Salalah knockout champions

SALALAH: Danube beat Al Ameen Ayurvedic Clinic-Sweets of Oman by 32 runs to emerge champions in the Salalah Cricket League knockout champion of champions tournament on last Friday.


In the semifinals, Danube beat Ahbar trading by 17 runs and Al Ameen Ayurvedic Clinic-Sweets of Oman defeated First Technology by 4 wickets.


The tournament was sponsored by Al Razi Group of Hospital, Al Safwah juices, Dhofar beverages, Sweets of Oman, Al Bayan water and Pocari Sweat. All the trophies and awards will be given at the award ceremony after the first knockout tournament to be held from 23rd March.


As many as 26 teams have confirmed participation in first ever knockout tournament in Salalah from Oman Cricket Club-Salalah.Tournament will be played in two divisions Intermediate and Junior. A and B divisions from League registered teams will play in intermediate and C and D division will play in junior division.
