The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) opened a photo gallery titled Crossing the Empty Quarter 1930-2015 under the auspices of Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom. The opening ceremony was attended by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, and a number of Omani and British explorers who took part in the Crossing the Empty Quarter expedition besides members of the RGS, diplomats and academics. — ONA
